HE WAS BORN ON THE 31 JULY 1963 IN BROMLEY,NAMED QUENTIN COOK.HE WAS RAISED IN BRIGHTON AND STILL LIVES THERE TODAY.HIS FATHER RONALD COOK GAINED AN MBE FOR INTRODUCING THE BOTTLE BANK TO THE UK. IN SIXTH FORM QUENTIN MET PAUL HEATON (YOU MAY KNOW HIM FROM THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH)AND GOT INTO THE MUSIC SCENE.In 1985 when quentin was 22,Paul formed a band called the house martins.he told quentin he could join but only if he changed his name to Norman.The group got 2 hits, "happy hour" reaching number 3 and "caravan of love" which got to number 1. They then split (like most groups do)in 1988. IN 1989 HE FORMED "BEATS INTERNATIONAL" WHICH PRODUCED A NUMBER 1 HIT "DUB BE GOOD TO ME!".HE THEN RECORDED 2 Albums with the band "let them eat bingo" and "exersions on the version" Then in 1993 ashley slater and norman formed "freakpower" and came out with the smash hit "tune in turn on cop out"Then they released the album "drive through body" in 1994 but then "freakpower" started to fade away. BUT IN 1995 NORMAN WAS BACK BUT UNDER A NEW NAME "PIZZAMAN" AND HAD A HIT WITH "SEX ON THE STREETS"AND "HAPPINESS".THEN FREAKPOWER CAME BACK AND TOURED FOR A YEAR.THEN THEY RECORDED A SECOND ALBUM "MORE OF EVERYTHING FOR EVERYBODY".THEN IN 1997 NORMAN MET DAMIEN HARRIS AND THEY FORMED SKINT RECORDS.NORMAN CAME UP WITH A NEW NAME FATBOYSLIM AND HE AND DAMIEN PRODUCED THE ALBUM "BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY" Still in 1997 They produced another tune but as "the mighty dub katz" it was called "magic carpet"and in 1998 produced "no way" Now still as the almighty FATBOYSLIM HE HAS ACHIEVED 2 ALBUMS AND DONE VARIOUS REMIXES FOR WILDCHILD,PHATS & SMALL,CORNERSHOP,BEASTIE BOYS AND HAS EVEN DONE SONGS FOR CHARITY.I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MUSIC TO THE PC AND PLAYSTATION GAME "ROLLCAGE".HE HAS ALSO WON VARIOUS AWARDS INCLUDING HIS MOST RECENT, BRIT AWARD.
